Just a quick note:
Yes, it's been forever since I posted anything here.
No, I've not forgotten this site.
It's just that the last year was FULL of life stuff, including the loss of the person who put this together for me. I can do all sorts of things and I am intelligent and capable. However, I just don't have the brain space to figure out (right now) how to redesign this web site; I've never done it before and the PhD has eaten my brain. So it's on hold for another week or so until a certain person can help me (read: pretty much stand over my shoulder and tell me what to do, step by step, so that I learn).
Then I will be back and use this space to talk about writing, what I've learned these past years, what I teach to my own students, what I'm working on, what I hope to figure out going forward. I know that it's a moving target, riddled with subjective 'rules', but writing makes imagination real, and that goes for writing about writing.
Also, I'll have a (waiting-on-a-contract) story sale to announce.
